International Student Ambassador Position
No. of Positions: 2
Hours: 5 – 24 hours per week (dependent on need)
Location: North Campus
Rate of Pay: $14.00 per hour
Tentative Start Date: October 8th, 2018
We are looking for candidates who have a strong work ethic and are self-motivated. An International Student Ambassador is a very important piece of the Humber International Team. You will work individually and in a team setting to engage the International student community.
Qualifications
· Currently enrolled and in good academic standing
· Full-time North Campus Student (with at least 2 full semesters still remaining here at Humber – 1st semester students are encouraged to apply)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
· Experience with social media, writing/blogging, photography, videography, graphic design, event planning/execution and/or marketing and community outreach are considered assets for this role.
· Strong leadership and mentorship skills
· Skills in other languages (highly desired)
General Responsibilities
· Working as part of a team to create new videos for all International Students and Staff
· General office duties
· Available for special International Projects (International Education Week, etc.)
· Work with International Centre Team members on social media initiatives
Required Availability
· Must attend ALL required training sessions
· Must be available during Orientation Week each semester (Very important)
· 5-24 hours per week (dependent on need)
